The coin is minted in antique gold color and measures 44 mm in size (1 3/4"). The official Marine Corps Seal is minted in stunning detail on the front. The obverse is engraved with up to five lines of text you choose.

Arrived very promptly and was exactly how I specified. Received about 5 days after I ordered it. Very good quality item. Will be an awesome gift to commemorate his becoming a Marine.
***Update. Was contacted by Marine Parents and they will be redoing the coin. I just had to send them a picture of the flaw and they want to fix the issue immediately. Nice, heavy, overall looks great. My issue is there is a minor flaw between the second and third line of engraving on the back side of coin between my son's first name and MCRD. It irritates me but I hope my son doesn't notice it. These coins are not eligible for return or exchange so I'm stuck with it. There is not enough time to order another one either for it to arrive in time before I leave for his graduation.
My son will be surprised, and I great quality and being able to engrave it with his platoon company and battalion information from Boot Camp. A great gift for him to carry along with him and his journey as a Marine
