Arrived very promptly and was exactly how I specified. Received about 5 days after I ordered it. Very good quality item. Will be an awesome gift to commemorate his becoming a Marine.
Corporal Reece McLaughlin and his family completed four years of active duty and moved to the inactive reserves. The family wanted to honor his service. (His Great Grandfather and both Grandfathers previously served in the Army, Air Corps, and Navy.) We had a great picture of Reece and his wife Sydney taken at the 2022 Marine Birthday celebration. We took his Marine boot camp medallion and a second medallion with his rank, unit, and service dates and mounted them in a frame with the picture. The entire family is very pleased with the result.
The behind the scenes story is that the second medallion was lost for weeks. Tracy at the Marine Parents EGA Store send me a replacement. We had the whole project framed for presentation and 4 days later the lost medallion arrived in a package that looked like it was run over by a truck. The medallion survived and I am keeping it as a personal reminder of of Reece’s service. Thanks Tracy and thanks Marine Corps for the opportunity Reece experienced.
Worth the money and the memories
